WORDS OF WISDOM

6-13-14
 Philippians 3:10
Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

Psalm 42

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

4-28-14
The mind of the Lord is ineffable.
ineffable=means incapable of being expressed or described in words; not be spoken of because of  its sacredness; unutterable, unspeakable; too great or intense to be expressed in words)

Free yourself from understanding God's plans!

1-23-14
I was reading in Romans this morning and came across this,
For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”[a] For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope."

I love this because we so need Hope to keep going forward!

1-3-14
THERE ARE NO GREAT PEOPLE...RATHER A GREAT GOD WORKING THROUGH ORDINARY PEOPLE.

11-19-13
God spoke this to my heart one day in a time when I was needing to make an important decision.
"The ways of the Lord are mysterious.  Sometimes all you can do is look for his scent and follow it."

10-23-13
Is the Lord pleased with the man who builds his own success or the man who lays his life down so the Lord can lift him up?

"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.  Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
1 Samuel 16:7

  * The meek man cares not at all who is greater than he, for he has long ago decided that the esteem of the world is not worth the effort.  He ceases to care what men think.

He has accepted God's estimate of his own life.  He knows he is as weak and helpless as God has declared him to be, but at the same time he knows he is, in the sight of God, more important than angels.  In himself, nothing; in God, everything.  That is his motto.  He knows well that the world will never see him as God sees him and he has stopped caring.  He rests perfectly content to allow God to place His own values.  He will be patient to wait for the day when everything will get its own price tag and real worth will come into its own.  Then the righteous shall shine forth in the kingdom of their Father.  He is willing to wait for that day.

In the meantime, he will have attained a place of soul rest.  As he walks on in meekness he will be happy to let God defend himThe old struggle to defend himself is overHe has found the peace which meekness brings.                                                    ~AWT-The Pursuit of God
